Becoming someone’s yesterday, today & tomorrow.
“Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time?” That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.”
― Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha
The moment we have is all
Let it flow by or hold it
It will remain
You know your Yesterday
You know your Today
You might even know your tomorrow
It will all still remain
I seek every moment
I don’t want to question my journey
I don’t want to doubt my presence in your life
It needs to remain
Don’t Hold me back
Don’t push me hard
Just be if that’s what you need
We will remain
He read it, and at that moment he knew it was meant for them. The presence we have in each other’s life exists today, tomorrow, shall always remain in our ‘Now’.
Why do I stop myself from making my presence firm in your life? I don’t want to possess you. Our roads have been diverted long before we met. I feel this way though.
Let me just hold your hand for a moment, she answered (firmly clenching his fingers). Don’t be afraid to love. This possession is what holds us back from experiencing the waters of this life thoroughly. Don’t try too hard!
I am still trying to remember your face from the last time we had known each other. I am trying to make sense of it all. I am trying not to be hurt. I am trying real hard to not be where we are judged, or questioned- A tear came right through his eye but never rolled out.
She understood and smiled.
Just for this moment let me make another yesterday, today and tomorrow. A tear rolled down her cheek. She hugged him this once and left.
