Golden State Warriors had one of the worst nights of it’s 2016-17 Season as the Lakers Defeat Warriors 112-95 and hand Golden State Warriors their 6th loss of the season.
Golden State team which has an enviable 19-1 record against the championship contenders this season, fell to 55-6 and are now just 3 games up on the second-place San Antonio Spurs. Stephen Curry was once again the leading scorer for Warriors with 18 points and Klay Thompson added 15 points. The Splash Brothers, however, were a combined 1 of 18 from 3-point range. As a team, Warriors missed 26 of 30 attempts from long range.
The evening belonged to the young backcourt of Lakers, Jordan Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell. Clarkson scored 25 points and D’Angelo Russell added 21. The overall second pick D’Angelo Russell has been having a great second half of the season after the All-Star break. The Lakers headed into the fourth quarter with a 16 points lead and at the start of the fourth quarter they stretched the lead further as Nick Young hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Huertas scored four in a row.
Kobe Bryant added 12 points but sat out the entire fourth quarter to rest his aching right shoulder. This victory has to be the biggest victory in the farewell season for Kobe Bryant. Lakers wore Bryant-themed socks in purple, gold, white and black with No. 2 on the right sock and No. 4 on the left.

The loss snapped Golden State’s seven-game winning streak and it’s their first loss since a 32-point blowout defeat against Portland at Portland. Just like the Portland game, the Guard play was again instrumental as Lakers Defeat Warriors.
Golden State Warriors will next host the Orlando Magic on Monday and they will have a chance of creating history by winning 45th straight games at home. The Magic will then be heading over to play LA Lakers on Tuesday.
